ISM History
The International School of Music was established in 1993 by Saro Mangasarian. Saro believed that everyone should have the opportunity to receive high quality music education. The ISM has provided rich educational opportunities for people of all ages, and has achieved a distinguished reputation in Southern California as a prestigious music conservatory.
Our Values
The Armenian Folk Cultural Center and ISM prides itself as being an all inclusive and acclaimed center for cultural arts. Dedicated, hands-on instruction can have a profound impact on a promoting and preserving centuries of artwork from within the Armenian community. By extension, learning from an experienced musical instructor and attending live performances can be a significant stepping-stone towards a student’s understanding of their culture as well as music as a whole.
